New Chairman Takes Helm of
FCCA Security/Operations Committee

The Florida-Caribbean Cruise Association’s (FCCA) Security/Operations Committee, which works on technical and security operations issues with the Association’s Caribbean partners, welcomes Stephen A. Nielsen, Vice President of Caribbean and Atlantic Shore Operations, Princess Cruises, as Chairman of its Security/Operations Committee to serve January 1, 2003 through December 31, 2004.

The FCCA’s 13 Members Lines honors its past Chairman, Michael Ronan, Associate Vice President, Destination Development, Royal Caribbean International, for his service as chairman of the Committee from 2000-2002, and his dedication to the advancement of the cruise industry. “It has been an honor to Chair the Security Operations Committee during these past two years as it has been a pleasure to work with my associates from the Members Lines, our partners in the Caribbean, our President Michele Paige and the staff of FCCA. Thank you all for your support during this challenging period, ” said Ronan.

Mr. Nielsen is a 30-year veteran of Princess Cruises, having joined the company in 1969, now manages Princess’ relationships with federal, state and local government officials in the Caribbean and Florida. He is also responsible for managing marine and other related operational matters in the Caribbean. Along with his participation with FCCA, Mr. Nielsen is also a member of the U. S. Immigration and Naturalization Services User Fee Advisory Committee.
