The FCCA Foundation Delivers Holiday Cheer to Deserving Children

The holidays will have special meaning for nearly 7,000 children through the FCCA Foundation’s 18th annual Holiday Gift Project. FCCA Member Lines will deliver holiday presents and cheer to underprivileged children throughout Florida and 33 Caribbean and Latin American destinations.

The FCCA Foundation contributes toys specially selected by destination partners for appropriate age groups and gender. Member Lines then load the gifts onboard their ships and transport them to participating destinations, where festivities are arranged, complete with food, drinks and appearances including Santa and Disney characters.

“The FCCA Holiday Gift Project has brought smiles to the faces of hundreds of Jamaican children. Since its inception, the FCCA has lived up to its commitment....providing toys for the children who are less fortunate,” said Margaret Jones, manager of visitor relations, Jamaica Tourist Board. “Over the years, the Ministry of Tourism and the Jamaica Tourist Board have joined with the FCCA and its Member Lines to make the gift giving a wonderful experience. It is certainly clear that the gifts are selected with great thought and care each year, and the squeals of delight from the children tell of their happiness.”

“We are pleased of the good work that the FCCA Foundation has been doing for the past 18 years,” told Kevin Sheehan, CEO of Norwegian Cruise Line and chairman of the FCCA. “It’s important to take care of children in need, and it’s gratifying to see the Foundation continue to grow and partner with charities who have children that are counting on them for some holiday cheer.”

In its 20th year, the FCCA Foundation continues to improve the lives of citizens in the Caribbean and Latin America through projects like this. The Foundation has impacted thousands of lives and provided millions in funding to various organizations and causes.
